Dr. Murphy's interests in veterinary medicine are dairy medicine and beef production and she also enjoys working with companion animals.

Kathryn grew up in the suburbs of Massachusetts and as such is a huge fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. She became interested in dairy cattle and agriculture through her local 4-H club when she was younger and then pursued that interest as an Animal Science major at the University of New Hampshire.

Kathryn attended the University of Minnesota for Veterinary School and graduated in May 2014. Although her love for animals initially attracted her to veterinary medicine, she really enjoys working with producers and pet owners.

Outside of work she enjoys running, baking, and visiting her family back east especially her 2 nieces and her new nephew. She doesn't have any pets of her own right now, but we're sure that will change in the near future!
